What's Your Story? Here Is Mine...
How I got Car Crazy
I grew up believing that cars were just a way to get from point A to point B. I didn't go Car Crazy until after I graduated from the University and had been married a few years.
My first sports car was a 2001 Mustang Cobra coupe. It took me over two years to finally pull the trigger and buy the car. At that time, I had no plans on making performance modifications or ever driving on a race track.
My first mod was a K&N air filter. I installed it the day it arrived and immediately began planning my next aftermarket purchase. Over the next few months I made several common modifications including short throw shifter, mufflers and underdrive pulleys.
In September 2002 a friend at work talked me into going to a high performance driving event (HPDE) at Gingerman Raceway. Needless to say, after the first 20 minute session I was totally hooked. I have not missed a September Gingerman since then.
The last few years have seen more performance modifications and more seat time at the track. I have gone from a beginner, to intermediate and onto to the advanced driving groups.
Flash forward to today when I decided to get my own website and share my experiences and hopefully a little knowledge.

My Background
First and foremost, I am not a mechanic and I don't claim to be one. Likewise, I am not a professional race car driver and never will be.
Everything I know about cars I have learned while working on my 2001 Cobra. It's amazing what you can do with decent instructions and a few good websites for reference.
Believe it or not, I have a degree in Psychology but I have worked in the manufacturing sector my entire career.
Simply stated, If I can modify & drive a high performance vehicle on a race track, anyone can.
