Saturday morning at Ginger Man improved my best lap time to 1:38.53.  Saturday afternoon I lost oil pressure and had to shut the cobra down.  Once again, Peter trailered my broke cobra back home for me. (Big Thank You to Peter)  My cobra now sits over at Alternative Auto Performance awaiting Lidio's diagnosis.

The Cobra is back in my garage where she belongs.  Fully repaired and better than ever.  She now has a Mellin Billet High Flow Oil Pump and '03 Mach 1 Cylinder Heads.  Rear wheel horsepower is up to 329 and torque jumped to 343.9 (see the new Dyno graph in the Dyno section of the About Us area.

Another great track weekend at Ginger Man Raceway in South Haven, Michigan thanks to Track Guys.com

A little overnight and morning rain dampened all the camping gear but ended in time for plenty of dry track laps.

The rebuilt engine ran flawlessly all weekend.  It definitely pulls harder in 3rd and 4th gear.  I had to incorporate two additional shifting zones each lap to prevent bouncing off of rev limiter.

The suspension changes over the winter have significantly improved handling.  Special thanks to Maximum Motorsports and Full Tilt Boogie Racing for the quality parts and service. 

Set a new personal fastest lap at 1:39.97 on Sunday afternoon. 

To top off a great weekend, I won a brand new set of Nitto NT01 competition tires.  I can't wait to try those out in September.

Had the time of my life driving in my first car race courtesy of the Sports and Touring Car Racing (SATCAR) Race at Ginger Man Raceway. 

I finished 4th out of 10 qualified racers.  Should have finished 1st but had low fuel and had to nurse the cobra home the last few laps. I had a 32 second lead with 2 laps to go.  I ran the last lap in 2:04.9 which was 25.9 seconds slower than my quickest lap and still finished just 8 seconds behind the race winner. 

During the race I set my personal best lap of 1:38.975 at Ginger Man Raceway.  This is a full second faster than my previous best.
